Web Easy IS simple to use.... |

| I have read all the reviews given to Web Easy on this site, and the problems that everyone seems to be having are NOT software bugs, but simply that the user does not know how to read the help file. I have done 6 websites with this product, and yes, there is learning involved. You should go to the Avanquest site and access their FAQ's. You will find every answer you need to know. There is also a forum to ask questions in, and everyone there is very helpful. |
AWESOME! Video tutorials, templates, supports all media formats, templates and much more! Easy to learn, and good upgrade from 7 |

| SOME TIPS ON PROGRAM & HOW TO SAVE $$$ - This is definitly a step up from Web Easy 7. If anyone has used MS Front Page before, you will appreciate the ease of this program. I see some reviews that people say "it's to hard or doesn't support this & that.." Well their wrong. If anyone takes just 1 day to read, and watch the video tutorials, they would know how to build a website using a template or from scratch, how to place pictures, animations and Web Easy EVEN WRITES A SCRIPT FOR YOU, IF YOU INSERT A MOVIE VIDEO. It will ask you if you want the video to play on that page with a mini player, or you have the option of having the video play on Real Player, Windows Media Player in full scall.
You can add HTML "Meta Tags" "Meta Description" "Title" with EVERY single page. You can HTML, CSS or Java Scipt into any page, by simply using the "Inspector" from the toolbar, and clicking of "page properties" and you can add anything you want (if you know html, css) or have a html code. Adding vidoes from youtube, tangele, veoh or any other video that has been "embeded" is very simple as selecting "multimedia from the "insert" tab on toolbar, and select you tube media, and copy the embeded code (it doesn't matter if it's from youtube or not, as long as it has an embeded code to copy, and paste) Then you can move or resize the video to what you want. If you want to add your own movie that you made in windows movie maker in .wmv format. All you have to do is select "Multimedia" or from the toolbar select "insert" then (browse for your file) and select it. It will then show a box on the page for you to move around or resize. BUT you still need a scipt written for you. So all you do is click on the video outline, and select "properties" a box will prompt you that there is no script, do want webeasy to write one, select yes, and then over to the right with the "Inspector" open, you will see your new script. Now you can double click on your movie to get the properties and select "mini, or full size player" and have the option to "show controls" - "start on page load up" - "loop 1,2, or 0 times" (personally, I check everything off, except for 'show controls' using a mini player. IT WILL PROVIDE A MINI "FLASH" VIDEO PLAYER FOR YOU ALSO...it is really unlimited.. This is truly a simple drag and drop, you can hyperlink anything to anywhere simply by right click on text or object, you can add html, css codes (even though it does not show the full html page view) you can still add anything you want. The biggest key is using the "Inspector" from the drop down toolbar, and simply read, watch, learn and build a website. It also supports flash. I have been using Front Page 2000 for 10 years now, and I can honestly say, that it is easier for me to create a website (even from scratch) with Web Easy 8 than MS Front Page, and better quality. you don't have the limitaition of having to use boxes like in front page. You just drag, drop, move, resize etc.. I already had Web Easy 7, so IF YOU ALREADY HAVE WEB EASY 7 - Here is a tip to SAVE $$$ MONEY. You should have got on email regarding updating to version 8 and a instant download for $14. Then it has the option for you to select for $6.95 to have a 2 year access to your product key # or you can choose $10 backup disc shipped to you, but by this time your right at $30..but here is a tip for you: ONLY download the upgrade for $14 (it gives you a 30 day period to access key code), and don't pay for anything else. When it starts the download, it will ask you: to run or save file: CLICK "SAVE" and SAVE IT to your DESKTOP. After that, it walks you through the complete install. However, NOW you have the webeasy8.exe file on your desktop now, so you can copy it to a disc or memory stick and intstall on anyother computer you have that has webeasy 7 - And you never have to go back, because you have the .exe start up file on your flash card, and obviously you write down your key code after paying the $14. Either way, if you don't have a previous version of web easy, I highly recommend this program to the novice beginer, intermediate, and advanced. I did not use their E-Commerce, because my host provider provides that for me, so not sure how good easy the e-commerce is to set up, but I imagine pretty simple. [...] The only only downside I found, is that you can't extend the page length with templates, however you can add a 100 pages to your site if needed...and that's it |
Great Software! Tons of professional features! |

| This software has been great! So many professional features that allow you to edit your web page. The drag and drop ability makes web design fast and easy. I will admit that the owners manual is a joke but there are companies out there that teach you how to use this software quickly. |
good product overall |

| Overall i liked the product. you can do a lot with it opposed to front page which i used to use. a con of the program is you have to press rebuild button and reload all the files that changed as opposed to only the page you changed. i have only used the product for a few weeks but i'm beginning to really like it once the learning curve is over.
For the price i would recommend it. |
Lotta bang for the buck |

| Pretty easy to use, lots of templates, lots of nice features (some dynamic - eg button rollover), much simpler and easier to learn than the industry "standards", ideal for the non-professional to produce and publish quick, attractive, and functional sites. Tech support is unfortunately non-existent so more learning is trial-and-error than need be. $50 for these capabilities is a real bargain. |
